John Richard Edison III, born August 2, 1947, in Wanashi, WA. Passed away on March 29, 2009, at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah, after a short battle with a sudden infection.
John attended Bountiful High school and proudly graduated as a Bountiful Brave in 1965. He spent four years becoming certified as a journeyman pipe-fitter and worked in the Real Estate and Mortgage Industry. On August 30, 1968, John married his wife, Adele, in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity.
John's greatest passion was his music, and his best moments were spent with his band Nice N' Easy. John loved his family, friends, playing games, camping, fishing, golfing, bowling, art, Christmas and was an avid fan of the Utah Jazz. John owned his own business, South Davis Mortgage, and ran it out of his home in Bountiful.
John is survived by his wife, Adele of Bountiful, UT; his children, Ame Suzanne Jensen (David), Alisha Mae Edison-Hair (Tim) and John Richard Edison IV of Bountiful, UT; his grandchildren, Emily Melissa Jensen, Rebecca Olivia Jensen, Mason Hair, Isaac Hair, and Brogan Hair; and his sister, Linda Rae Edison of Salt Lake City, UT. John is preceded in death by his parents, John Richard Edison Jr and Alice May Edison, and his sister Sandra Mills.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where a visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. prior to services.
