Her family wrote: "Karon touched the hearts of all that knew her and had a strong positive influence on all of them. She was very loving, supporting, caring, giving, creative, humorous and strong. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her children and her grandchildren, teaching them to appreciate simple things in life. One of her favorite guiding statements was, 'What would your mother think?' She often listened to Dr. Laura on the radio and requested her family and friends to listen too. She was a source of pride to her family and will be missed very much." Her family also wrote that she was a "beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend."
Mrs. Doulgerakis is survived by her husband, Charles Doulgerakis; daughters, Deana Doulgerakis and Journie Da Silva; son-in-law, Sandor Da Silva; son, Brant "Gus" Doulgerakis; granddaughter, Makaila Da Silva, and grandsons, Zoltan Da Silva and Kadin Da Silva, all of Anchorage; daughter, Victoria Doulgerakis and fiance Mark Hedgecock of Lynnwood, Wash.; mother, Gwendolyn Clayton, and sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Larry Christensen, all Sun City West, Ariz.; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Judy Clayton of N.
