Born April 15, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Albert O. and Abby Barber Flandro. Married Steven Harley Smith for time and all eternity on March 12, 1970 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a devoted wife and dedicated mother who put husband and children above all else.
She was our best friend, confidant, and teacher. She was an active member of the LDS Church and instilled many quality traits in her children. Jeanne graduated from the University of Utah. She taught English in the Davis County School District and was teaching at Centerville Junior High School.
Survived by her devoted husband, Steven; loving children: six daughters and two sons, Ricci Nightingale (Jim), Stacy Coles (Eric), Shelby, Stephanie, Erin, and the triplets, Christopher, Amy and Daniel; sister Shelley Daniels (Jack) of Jefferson, Oregon; brothers Dr. Gary Flandro (Lyn) of Tullahoma, Tennessee and Neil Flandro (Carrie) of Centerville; and Maxine Smith of St. George who was like a second mother to her. Jeanne was preceded in death by her mother, father, and nephew, Lee.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 1998 at 11 a.m. at the Val Verda Second Ward Chapel, 2600 South 500 West in Bountiful.
